Registration of additional key

1. Ensure doors are closed and no key is inserted in secto the ignition key cylinder.
2. Insert the already registered master key into the ignition key cylinder.
3. Remove and insert the master key 4 times.
4. Open and Close the driver's door 6 times.
5. Remove the master key.
• Step 3~5 must be operate within 35 sec.
6. Insert the key to be registered into the ignition key cylinder within 10 sec.
7. After 60 sec, the key is registered.

Erasure of key codes

1. Ensure doors are closed and no key is inserted in secto the ignition key cylinder.
2. Insert the already registered master key into the ignition key cylinder.
3. Remove and insert the master key 6 times.
4. Open and Close the driver's door 7 times.
• Step 3~4 must be operate within 35 sec.
5. Remove the master key within 10 sec.

ECU Communication ID registration

NOTE :

• The ECU communication ID should be registered when the transponder key ECU and(or) engine ECU is replaced by performing step (a).
• If the transponder key ECU and engine ECU are replaced at the same time, also perform step (b).
• The engine can not be started unless the ECU communication ID matches.
• The ECU communication ID must be registered before turning the ignition switch from ON to OFF 20 times or more consecutively. If not, the transponder key ECU must be replaced.
• If the transponder ECU is unable to recognise the engine ECU, the SFI/ECD system will be unable to started and the transponder key ECU must be replaced.
• If the engine start normally and DTC 2799(ECM immobilizer communication error) is still displayed on the scanner, erase the DTC by using scanner or stop the engine and disconnect the battery for 30 sec.

Transponder ECU and(or) engine ECU is replaced. (a)

1. Insert a jumper wire between terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
2. Insert the already registered key into the ignition key cylinder,
3. Turn the ignition switch ON, but do not start the engine, and leave ON for 30 min.
4. Turn the ignition switch to OFF and disconnect the jumper wire from the DLC3.
5. Check the engine starts.

Transponder ECU and(or) engine ECU is replaced. (b)

1. Insert the already registered key into the ignition key cylinder,
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Check the engine runs for more than 3 sec.
